Indiana Health Centers, Inc. has provided affordable and high-quality healthcare services to underserved and uninsured populations for over four decades since its inception in 1977. The organization has ten healthcare centers and eight Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) nutrition program locations spread across Indiana, offering primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare services to people of all ages who might not have access to quality healthcare due to financial constraints.


IHC in South Bend, Indiana (Western Ave.), seeks an Experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for our team! This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced candidate to substantially impact the lives of patients in our community! The ideal candidate will demonstrate unwavering commitment to the mission of the Indiana Health Center, displaying a willingness to serve, lead with integrity, and exhibit compassion and respect for all individuals.

Hours of Operation:

Monday - 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Tuesday - 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Wednesday - 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Thursday - 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Friday - 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Saturday (1st & 3rd) - 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Sunday - Closed

  • $108,000.00 - $120,000.00 (Variance based on NP/PA education & years of experience)
  • $20,000.00 additional reward and retention bonus opportunity paid in allotments
  • $2500.00 CME plus 5 days

  • Paid malpractice with 100% tail insurance covered through the Federal Torts Claims Act (FTCA)

Requirements

  • Education: FNP/Family Nurse Practitioner, APRN, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant/PA
  • Spanish speaking skills are preferred but not required
  • Licensure: Hold a valid license in the State of Indiana
  • Current DEA licensure / Prescriptive Authority post-hire
  • Certification: Nurse Practitioner certification from either the ANCC / AANP or Physician Assistant certification from NCCPA
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Experience: 2 + years of clinical experience as an NP/PA in the primary care setting
  • Previous experience working in a Community Health Center is preferred but not required
