Here’s what you need to know:

• This is a long-term, full-time Contract/Locum 1099 Government contractor position 
• Flexible contract start date – as early as August/September, lasting up to 1 year, with potential for extension 
• 40 hours/week (8-hour days) 
• Clinic Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 
• Closed on weekends and federal holidays 
• Prior Traveler/Contractor experience preferred 
• Experience with Indian Health Services (IHS) is a plus 
• Family Nurse Practitioner licensed with at least 2 years of experience treating patients of all ages

What You’ll Do:

• Provide top-quality Nurse Practitioner services in a welcoming family clinic setting
• See and treat patients across all age groups 
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including interviews, exams, history review, and testing 
• Offer comprehensive treatments, education, and appropriate specialist referrals 
• Prescribe medications, order labs, and radiologic testing as needed 
• Align prescriptions with the IHS formulary guidelines 
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives focused on patient outcomes 
• Ensure compliance with IHS infection control and safety protocols 
• Advocate for patients’ dignity, rights, and overall well-being 
• Utilize the Patient Referred Care (PRC) process when referrals are needed

Requirements:

- Must be certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners

- 2 years of experience as a Family, Internal Medicine or Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner, Preferred

- Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration from any State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

- Must be Board Eligible or Certified

- DEA

- Must have current BLS

- ACLS, PALS preferred

- Certification of Education - copy of diploma or transcripts

- Must be a US Citizen living primarily in the United States

- Must be willing to pass a federal background check
