Job Description - Family Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care / Primary Care
We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient and urgent care services in Monroe, North Carolina. This full-time onsite role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care through accurate assessments, evidence-based treatment planning, and preventive healthcare services.
The Nurse Practitioner will work in a busy outpatient medical environment, collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to support efficient operations and positive patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including physical examinations and detailed medical history assessments
Diagnose and manage both acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions
Develop individualized care plans based on clinical findings and diagnostic results
Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures
Prescribe medications and therapies within the scope of advanced practice licensure
Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to maintain effective patient flow
Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication adherence, disease prevention, and lifestyle management
Document patient encounters accurately using the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Deliver care for both routine outpatient visits and urgent medical concerns
Maintain compliance with medical regulations, clinical protocols, and healthcare standards
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina or eligibility for licensure
National certification through AANP or ANCC in Family Practice, Adult-Gerontology, or related specialty
Previous experience in urgent care, primary care, or outpatient clinical settings strongly preferred
Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and patient management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
