Description
Position Purpose:
The Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma seeks a passionate individual to ensure the integration of services available to Children, Families, and Communities is comprehensive, accessible, and conducive to the needs of the tribal community. The Family Service Coordinator will oversee the internal partnerships between programs to remove barriers for families in receiving services to eliminate child abuse and family violence by providing strength-based, culturally appropriate resources to citizens.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain confidentiality regarding all information regarding families, co-workers and self in
accordance with the Early Childhood departmental confidentiality policy.
· Other duties as assigned by Director
Education and Experience:
· A Bachelor’s degree in related field is required
· Minimum of three (3) years leadership experience
· Experience working with state licensing requirements.
· Understanding of federal CCDF, ICW and DOJ compliance requirement
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and
instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
· Knowledge of Brazelton Touchpoints, certified training preferred.
· Outstanding organizational abilities and must be able to prioritize.
· Productive and effective time management, flexibility in responding to a variety of work tasks.
· Ability to support multiple staff, working in different locations in an effective way.
· Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
· Outstanding organizational abilities and must be able to prioritize.
· Ability to read, interpret and understand federal documents.
· Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries with families.
Certifications:
· Valid Driver’s License and Insurance.
Conditions of Employment:
The Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma operates a drug-free workplace.
· Must submit to and pass applicable drug test, TB test, and Physical.
· Must pass background investigations for suitability of character identified in accordance with
the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act, and Child Care and Development Fund, 45 C.F.R. § 98.43(a)(2)
