Family Support Caregiver for Children & Adults with Disabilities - $17.75/hr - Flexible Part-Time Schedule

Home of Guiding Hands is seeking compassionate and dependable Family Support Caregivers to provide care, supervision, and companionship to children and adults with developmental disabilities throughout San Diego County.

This is more than a caregiving job. You'll help individuals build confidence, learn new skills, participate in community activities, and enjoy meaningful experiences. Whether you're helping someone practice life skills, visit the zoo, attend appointments, or simply have fun in the community, you'll play an important role in supporting both the individual and their family.

What You'll Do

• Provide companionship, supervision, and support to children and adults with developmental disabilities


• Assist with community outings, recreational activities, and appointments


• Support individuals with life skills such as cooking, laundry, communication, and personal care


• Encourage participation in meaningful activities at home and in the community


• Help individuals achieve personal goals while promoting independence


• Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment

What We're Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years old


• Compassionate, patient, and dependable


• Comfortable working with children and adults with developmental disabilities


• Ability to build positive relationships with clients and families


• Basic smartphone and computer skills for documentation


• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

No Professional Experience? No Problem.

Experience caring for a family member, volunteering, babysitting, working with children, or helping others is welcome. We're looking for caring individuals who are eager to learn and make a positive impact.
