The product engagement manager functions as a critical connection point between product managers, UX designers, engineers, help and support personnel, engagement channel owners, and senior staff. They are responsible for understanding our patrons, defining positioning for our products and services, and developing go-to-market (GTM) strategies. Their role is to make sure that our patrons needs are understood and met, that communications are timely, accurate and compelling, and our products provide inspiring and delightful experiences for our patrons.
Responsibilities
In coordination with other stakeholders, product engagement manager responsibilities include:
Market & patron research: Conducting research to understand our patrons; their needs, pain points, desires, and alternatives
Positioning and messaging: translating our product offerings into compelling customer-focused benefits and value propositions
Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategies: Plan and lead product launches, assuring that all stakeholders are prepared and aligned on timing, positioning, and communication plans
Homeland Support: Support the homelands by assuring alignment around plans for when and where products will be released
Demand and Adoption: Work with channel owners to create promotional assets, and by analyzing post-launch data to help inform adoption and rollout plans
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field
Eight years of relevant experience, including project management for large-scale projects and strategic organizational experience for or within a complex organization (or equivalent education or experience).
Proven product management experience. Experience implementing extensive marketing and communications campaigns using various forms of media, such as video, social media, and graphic design.
Solid analytical skills.
Experience launching products and implementing campaigns internationally, understanding global challenges and establishing strong relationships with Church areas around the world.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Proven experience collaborating across multiple divisions and departments.
Excellent presentation skills
Must be able to aggregate and distill information from various sources, write solid proposals and plans, and give credible presentations to executive leaders.
Sound understanding of Church doctrine, policy, and practices.
Understanding of local and cultural customs and practices in areas around the world and how they impact the global Church.
Able to focus on the vision of the senior leadership and follow direction.
Experience managing large budgets and strong ability to collaborate across multiple departments and initiatives.
Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
