We're seeking a detail-oriented F&B Staff Accountant to join our growing Portland accounting team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in processing transactions, ensuring strong internal controls, and supporting the financial operations of our diverse portfolio of food and beverage businesses. This is your chance to be part of a fast-paced, innovative environment where you can directly impact the growth and profitability of exciting restaurant brands.

Important Note: This role requires a minimum of 3-4 days per week from our office located on SE 2nd Avenue in Portland.

Your Impact:

• Transaction Guru: Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure proper recording of all business transactions, including banking, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, to facilitate the monthly close process.
• Internal Control Champion: Execute organization processes to ensure effective operation of internal controls, especially around Cash, AR, and AP transactions.
• Process Innovator: Assist in the design, implementation, and review of the new company processes and procedures, including process documentation, to support business growth.
• Reconciliation Expert: Reconcile balance sheet accounts and subsidiary ledgers, including Debt, Fixed Assets, Intangibles, Accrued Liabilities, Gift Card Liabilities, and Accounts Receivable.
• Sales Analyst: Reconcile POS and e-commerce sales and fees.
• Systems Pro: Learn the organization's ERP and Finance systems, including NetSuite, POS, Ecommerce, Expense Reporting, and ERP systems, with the goal of driving automation, efficiency, and scalability initiatives across the portfolio of businesses.
• Portfolio Partner: Drive standardization across our portfolio of businesses and support daily operations while building strong relationships with the pillar teams.

What You Bring to the Table:

• You have great attention to detail, strong communication and organization skills, and the desire to be on a dynamic team within a fast-growing organization.
• You’re comfortable managing multiple tasks concurrently. You will be able to communicate effectively with the Accounting and pillar teams and efficiently complete deliverables as part of a high-performing team.
• You possess strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• You have 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Restaurant or hospitality accounting experience is a MUST.

Bonus Points:

• Full cycle accounting experience with demonstrated process improvement.
• A track record of successful cross-team collaboration and driving cross-organizational changes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Accounting or Finance degree.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
