Description
Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel, managed by StepStone Hospitality, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Food & Beverage Venue Supervisor to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional to lead a vibrant dining venue, foster a collaborative team environment, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
· Supervise and coordinate the activities of servers, hosts, bussers, and bartenders during shifts.
· Ensure prompt, courteous, and professional service to all guests.
· Oversee table assignments, guest seating, and service flow for maximum efficiency.
· Assist in training, coaching, and evaluating staff performance.
· Monitor food and beverage presentation, portion control, and service quality.
· Address guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas.
· Perform opening and closing duties, including cash handling, shift reports, and setup/breakdown.
· Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
· Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure proper coordination of service and menu execution.
- Ability to accurately use various office and accounting software.
· 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
· Strong leadership, team building, and communication skills.
· Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
· Must be available for weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
· Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle guest concerns with professionalism.
· Familiarity with POS systems and basic reporting tools.
· Certification in food safety and responsible alcohol service (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS) preferred.
· Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
· Assist with all functions of the F&B department to ensure guest satisfaction as directed.
· Ability to assist with various accounting and office tasks as needed.

Requirements
· Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.
· Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, and manual dexterity.
· Hearing, writing, typing.
· Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.
