Job Description - F&I Administrator - Audi North Austin
Job Summary:
An F&I (Finance and Insurance) Administrator supports the dealership's F&I department by processing vehicle sales paperwork, managing lender contracts, and ensuring compliance. They act as the vital bridge between the sales floor, accounting office, and financial institutions to secure funding and finalize deals
Core Responsibilities
Deal Processing: Review and assemble completed sales and finance packets to guarantee accuracy, ensuring the customer has signed all necessary disclosures.
Contract Management: Track and monitor contracts-in-transit (CIT), keeping in constant communication with banks and lenders to facilitate fast deal funding.
Compliance & Record-Keeping: Ensure all transactions adhere to federal, state, and dealership regulations. Maintain organized physical and digital records of finance documents.
Lender Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with lending institutions. Transmit credit applications and communicate approval stipulations to F&I Managers.
Product Registration: Accurately submit and manage paperwork for aftermarket products like vehicle service contracts, GAP insurance, and warranties.
Accounting Liaison: Collaborate with the dealership's business office to resolve funding discrepancies, balance ledgers, and finalize deal jackets.
Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience in an automotive dealership office, general accounting, or a related administrative role (often 1-2 years).
Skills: Strong proficiency in using dealership management systems (DMS) such as CDK Global, Reynolds and Reynolds, or Dealertrack.
Knowledge: Basic understanding of automotive desking processes, financing terms, and DMV titling/registration laws.
Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy when handling sensitive financial data, calculating figures, and auditing documents.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to field inquiries from lenders, salespeople, and customers
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
