Farm Equipment Mechanic

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Farm Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining agricultural equipment to keep operations running smoothly during critical planting and harvest seasons.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on farm equipment (tractors, combines, planters, and related machinery)


• Perform routine maintenance and preventive service to minimize equipment downtime


• Fabricate or repair parts as needed using welding and machining skills


• Read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical bulletins


• Maintain accurate service records and parts inventory


• Respond to on-site or field repair calls as needed, including during peak seasons


• Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining farm equipment required


• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills


• Valid CDL preferred


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair priorities


• Willingness to work extended hours during planting/harvest seasons


• High school diploma or GED

Benefits

• Pay based on experience


• Pay range is $25 - $35 per hour
