Farm Relations Manager

Description

Vendor and Supplier Management:

• Evaluate and approve new egg vendors and contract suppliers.
• Ensure supplier compliance with company standards, industry certifications, and renewals.
• Conduct and oversee inspections to maintain quality and integrity.

Farm Coordination and Communication:

• Serve as the primary liaison between producers, feed service representatives, and certification bodies.
• Oversee the Farm Coordination Team to ensure smooth operations and communication.

Strategic Growth and Planning:

• Develop business plans aligned with WEF's strategic growth objectives.
• Expand chicken and duck flocks to meet customer demand and market needs.

Egg Supply and Projections:

• Manage egg supply projections to align with customer needs and inventory requirements.
• Coordinate with farms to ensure adequate production and delivery timelines.

Business Development:

• Identify opportunities to grow the duck business and build relationships with producers to support this expansion.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate duck products into overall strategic plans.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Management, Technical Training, or a related field (preferred).

Experience: 3-5 years of related experience and/or training. Proven experience in farm management, supplier relations, or a similar role in the agriculture or specialty food industry. Knowledge of compliance and certification processes in agriculture or food production.
