The Microelectronics (E) Deputy Product Line Director (PLD) will co-lead a strategic technology and product portfolio within the FAST Labs Business Area in the BAE Systems Electronic Systems Sector, reporting directly to the Microelectronics PLD. The E Product Line performs cutting-edge microelectronics research in its Science & Technology area and delivers advanced microelectronic products in its four Development & Production areas that advance mission capabilities across commercial imaging and defense applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for co-leading a very talented cross-functional E workforce to achieve business success via strategy development and portfolio execution. The E Product Line is accountable to capture or identify, create, and deliver discriminating technology & products and effective customer relations, both external and internal to BAE Systems. The Deputy PLD will take an active role in the development of new business opportunities in technology creation, maturation, product transition and product delivery related to E technologies and capabilities. The E Deputy PLD will also support financial planning and optimization responsibilities in a very dynamic environment spanning multiple locations in Nashua, NH, Merrimack, NH, Lexington, MA, and San Jose, CA. Specific job responsibilities include supporting the PLD to achieve the following:

+ Lead E with a drive and focus on the importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion across E, FAST Labs and ES.

+ Lead E by modeling behavior aligned with our BAE Systems Cultural Principles and FAST Labs Guiding Principles.

+ Lead the E organization to accomplish the mission and strategy as set forth in the FAST Labs business plan, ES business plan and ES Technology Strategy.

+ Provide leadership oversight and active engagement in the development and pursuit of business opportunities aligned with the E Product Line.

+ Provide leadership oversight and active engagement in the preparation of technical, management and cost proposals.

+ Provide leadership and active engagement in the execution of S&T, development, and production programs in the portfolio.

+ Provide leadership for the ES microelectronics product leverage strategies, roadmaps, and collaboration across each business area.

+ Make bid decisions per the FAST Labs delegated authorities and allocate bid and proposal funds across E technical areas.

+ Maintain cognizance of corporate capabilities and identify new business leads for other BAE Systems Product Lines.

+ Ensure all programs led by the group are executed in accordance with BAE Systems Program Management Policies.

+ Coordinate efforts across multiple projects, within and outside of the product line. Pursue follow-on business opportunities. Support cross Product Line and Business Area programs to optimize market opportunities.

+ Proactively engage with BAE Systems Business Areas to facilitate transition of E technology to BAE Systems products. Build relationships with Business Area technical and management staff to facilitate technology transition and collaboration. This includes early engagement on major research and development pursuits, coordinating blended teams for execution of research and development projects, and coordinating roadmaps and investments to facilitate transition of technology for Business Area leverage.

+ Work with the E leadership team to actively manage the most valuable resource we have within the organization: our human capital, to include activities related to recruiting top talent, employee development, employee sponsorship/mentorship, employee engagement and succession planning within the group.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

The Deputy Product Line Director candidate shall have demonstrated or obtained the following education, experience, and skills:

+ Proven ability to lead a diverse organization across multiple geographic business sites.

+ Capability to support a large organization through complex culture change.

+ Advanced degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or business administration.

+ >12 years of portfolio management experience in the research, development or production of Commercial Imaging, Defense, or related markets microelectronics products.

+ Ability to think strategically and formulate strategic vision, strategies, and implement actions to achieve goals in a changing environment.

+ Business and technical leadership, management, and decision making focused on microelectronics research, development, or production.

+ Strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with internal business area customers, as well as external commercial and defense microelectronics ecosystem partners.

+ Ability to communicate at all levels within the customer community and the corporate community.

+ Business development mindset with in-depth experience in the development of growth strategies within the microelectronics ecosystem.

+ Proven ability to share and transfer technology and know-how across organizational boundaries.

+ Competent in talent management and development, performance management, mentoring, coaching, and team communications.

+ Ability to achieve results through others. Demonstrated ability to develop leaders in an organization.

+ Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain DoD Top Secret with SCI and SAP Security clearances.

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Active US Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance

+ Proven breadth of business leadership from technology seedling and maturation through product development; from conception through sustainment.

+ Passion to deliver Electronic Systems Defense and Commercial Missions: 'We Protect Those Who Protect Us' and 'We Innovate for Those Who Move the World'

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $164000 - $278800

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
