Feeder/Packer, 1st Shift

This position is for a 1st Shift Feeder/Packer at our facility in Charlotte, NC.  

Your Role

• Packages product from gluer machine.
• Places labels on boxes consecutively.
• Moves pallets around with a manual pallet jack.
• Assists operator with machine set up.
• Maintains clean and safe area.
• Checks the product for quality and count accuracy.
• Sets table rollers and wheels.
• Ensures total quality of the job while in operation.
• Maintains the machine and area in accordance with the standard operation procedures.
• Demonstrates competency in all paperwork.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

Your Profile

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 6 months’ experience in packaging processes preferred.
• Previous experience working manufacturing environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and safety rules.
• Must be able to pass a basic reading test.
• Must pass color vision test.
• Must pass color hue test.
• Must be able to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
• Must be able to keep up with fast pace production environment.
• Must be able to identify quality issues.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
