We are seeking a FIAR Consultant to serve as a critical member of the DAF Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) team, providing audit liaison support, corrective action planning, and audit remediation execution. This role supports enterprise-level financial management efforts through coordination with stakeholders across the Department of Defense (DoD), execution of internal control initiatives, and ongoing compliance with A-123 requirements.
Required Skills:
· Bachelors
· Active Secret Clearance
· 1-3 years of experience with DoD Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) initiatives to support the financial statement audit
· Familiarity with General Property, Plant, and Equipment (GPP&E) and Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) asset management systems, business processes, and internal controls.
· Assist in evaluating and improving data quality within Accountable Property Systems of Record (APSRs), ensuring alignment with audit readiness objectives.
Desired Skills:
· Prior experience conducting inventory observations, inventory testing, or supporting physical counts in support of audit readiness initiatives.
$135,000 - $150,000 a year
At Significance, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.
We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
