We are looking for a Fiber Splicing Design Technician to join our growing team in Colorado.

About the role

• Maintain detailed fiber splice schematics, splicing matrices, and design packages.


• Interpret and analyze construction plans, fiber allocation sheets, and network architecture documents.


• Manage optic splice plans that ensure network integrity, future scalability, and redundancy.


• Coordinate with field teams, engineers, and vendors to confirm design feasibility and accuracy.


• Utilize design software (ArcGIS, AutoCAD, 3-GIS)


• Support QC efforts by reviewing as-built splicing documents and making revisions as needed.


• Ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, and industry best practices.


• Collaborate with construction and splicing crews to provide technical guidance and resolve design issues.


• Maintain accurate records of fiber usage, spare fibers, and future growth considerations.

Skills Required & Physical Demands:

• Strong understanding of fiber color codes, splicing methods, and OSP construction practices.


• Proficiency in GIS or CAD-based splicing/design tools.


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.


• Effective communication and collaboration across teams.
