Fiberglass Division Quality and Process Improvement Leader

Overview: The Quality and Process Improvement Leader position within Phifer's Fiberglass Division is responsible for overseeing major quality and process improvement projects throughout all process areas of the manufacturing operation.

Essential job functions:

- Will ensure that Safety is always the top priority, followed by Quality, and then Productivity.

-Will oversee major quality and process improvement projects as assigned by the Fiberglass Division Manager.

-Will complete corrective action requests from customers by their requested date, oversee all actions associated with the corrective action process, and continually communicate the status of improvements to everyone involved until the corrective action is closed.

-Will support the continuous improvement process by teaching others and assisting when help is needed to ensure success and sustainment of improvements.

-Will directly supervise Project and Process Engineers in the Fiberglass Product Lines.  This will include providing them with expectations, holding them accountable for meeting those expectations, and evaluating their performance.

-Will participate in Kaizen events as a Team Member, Team Leader, Event Process Owner or Sponsor.

-Will help and assist members of management with day to day tasks as needed

Supervision Exercised/Received:
This position will provide direct supervision to all Process or Project Engineers, Part Time Engineers, or Student Engineers in the F1 and F2 Product Lines. 

The Quality and Process Improvement Leader will receive direct supervision from the Fiberglass Division Manager

Minimum Requirements:
To qualify for this position a 4 year bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Engineering, Quality, Operations Management or related field of study with at least three years experience in a manufacturing environment and a minimum of one year in a supervisory role.
