Job Summary:
MiTAC Tyan is seeking a Field Application Engineer to provide support to our custom application development and installation team. The successful candidate will possess an understanding of networking protocols, security measures, software development and customer support practices. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for providing guidance to our customer's on existing products, building new products and troubleshooting customer issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Interface with current and new customers to help match company products with customer needs
Strong troubleshooting skills to help customers diagnose issues with server and workstation systems.
Repair defective server units by replacing failed parts or reflashing firmware packages
Collaborating with sales team, engineers, and product managers for obtaining accurate information of application usage, system operations, and product management
Some travel maybe required
Qualifications and Requirements
Strong communications skills
Technical knowledge x86 Servers and workstations
Strong troubleshooting ability of x86 servers/workstation Hardware and BIOS/BMC
Support of Linux and Windows OS
Basic understanding of network technology
Some travel maybe required
