Our technology starts with you.\n\nYOUR ROLE \n\nWe are seeking for a Field Application Engineer (FAE) with 3-4 years expertise in data center power conversion systems. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and customer support for power electronics solutions used in data center infrastructure, including high-efficiency AC/DC, DC-DC converters, power supplies, and power management ICs. A deep understanding of power semiconductor devices, advanced topologies, and system-level design for high-density, high-reliability data center applications is essential.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Development, testing, and validation of AC-DC, DC-DC converters, power supplies, and power management systems tailored for data center environments.\n * Assist customers in the development, testing and validation of power systems for data center applications. \n * Troubleshoot complex application issues related to power conversion systems, including thermal management, EMI/EMC compliance, and reliability challenges.\n * Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote ST\u2019s power semiconductor products and system solutions targeted at data center applications.\n * Capture market trends, customer feedback, and emerging technology requirements to guide product development and roadmap planning.\n * Develop and deliver technical training, application notes, demo boards, and presentations focused on data center power electronics.\n * Work closely with R\u0026D and product engineering teams to improve product robustness, performance, and manufacturability.\n * Support PCB layout reviews and provide design recommendations for multilayer boards used in high-current, high-density, high switching frequency power electronics.\n * Participate in customer design reviews, prototype bring-up, and qualification activities.\n * Manage relationships with key customers and power electronics suppliers to ensure successful project execution.\n * Travel to customer sites and industry events as needed to provide on-site support and technical training.\n\n\n\nSkills\n\n * 3-4 years of experience with data center power standards and architectures (e.g.,800V power distribution, 48 V power distribution, Open Compute Project specifications).\n * Design of high frequency AC/DC and DC/DC converters with Wide Bandgap power semiconductors \n * PCB design with electronic CADs such as Altium.\n * Understanding and experience on Matrix transformer design technologies\n * Knowledge of digital power control and firmware development.\n * Familiarity with reliability testing and qualification processes for power electronics.\n * Experience with 32-bit microcontrollers programming in C/C++\n * Experience working in semiconductor or power electronics industries supporting OEMs or system integrators.\n * Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers).\n * Ability to analyze test data and communicate technical results effectively.\n * Experience with high-current, high-efficiency power supply design and thermal management techniques.\n * Familiarity with EMI/EMC design considerations and compliance testing.\n * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\n\n\nAt STMicroelectronics, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. \n\nThe base annual salary range for this role is between $ 117,900 to $147,400 USD. \n\nST is proud to be one of the 17 companies certified as a 2025 Global Top Employer and the first and only semiconductor company to achieve this distinction.
