Field Diesel/Automotive Mechanic - Level II

Ellingson is hiring a Level II Field Mechanic to join their growing team. Ellingson is a stable, family values-based company that specializes in underground solutions throughout Southern Minnesota and the entire United States.

*This position is based out of our shop in HARWOOD, ND.

The Level II Field Mechanic will be responsible for the following: 

•    Perform and train others on repairs and how to maintain all equipment and vehicles on job sites.
•    Ability to diagnose and operate equipment.
•    Maintain proper record keeping, open work orders for all repairs, and distribute workload as needed.

Requirements:

• Overnight Travel is Required.

· Minimum of 5+ years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

· Ability to tear down and rebuild engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, differentials/gear boxes, and undercarriage components.

· Ability to repair all types of construction equipment.

· Valid Class A CDL required.

· DOT certification required.

· Must have own comprehensive set of tools and toolbox to complete mechanical repairs.

· Must be capable of leading shop function on any given day including but not limited to personnel, parts ordering, diagnosing, quoting repairs etc.
