We're hiring a Field Engineer to support construction, installation, commissioning, and startup activities for a large-scale food waste-to-energy facility in Burley, Idaho. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving real-world problems in the field, working directly with contractors and trades, and helping bring complex industrial systems to life.
Whether you're an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) looking to accelerate your career or a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) seeking project-level impact, this role offers exposure to every stage of facility development.

$95,000-$140,000 annual salary, depending on experience

What You'll Do
Provide field engineering support during construction and installation activities
Work directly with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents
Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with design requirements
Assist with technical troubleshooting and issue resolution
Conduct inspections and support quality assurance efforts
Coordinate field changes and construction documentation updates
Support project schedules and daily construction activities
Participate in equipment testing, commissioning, and startup activities
Promote a safe and efficient jobsite environment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
Experience supporting construction, operations, maintenance, field engineering, or industrial projects
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and organizational abilities
Ability to work onsite in Burley, Idaho
Preferred Qualifications
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Industrial construction experience
Mechanical, electrical, or process systems experience
Renewable energy, power generation, manufacturing, food processing, or pharmaceutical experience
Commissioning and startup experience
Experience working directly with contractors and field personnel
