Field Executive Protection Specialist - Women Strongly Encouraged to Apply

Gavin de Becker & Associates (GDBA) protects the world’s most influential and at-risk public figures.  Founded in 1978 by 3-time Presidential appointee, Gavin de Becker, our firm’s Protectors, Analysts, and Investigators are committed to our mission of protecting human life through the assessment, prediction, and management of violence.

GDBA is seeking a Field Travel Protector to be ready and able to travel and advance internationally up to 130 days per year. Must live within a commutable distance of downtown Washington, DC to be eligible for this position.

First year earnings for this role start at a minimum of $100,000 based on a 40-hour work week. This position offers earnings potential of up to $120,000+ commensurate with experience, overtime opportunities, bonuses, travel pay and more. A sign-on bonus and training academy scholarship is also available.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience working in a full-time certified law enforcement officer position (can be military or civilian)


• Ability to travel upwards of 130 days per year (travel typically occurs in 1-2 week blocks)


• Exceptional Communication Skills and Physical Fitness.


• Drug and Nicotine-Free.


• Pass our Pre-Employment Background Investigation

Desired Qualifications:

• Assigned to Military Protective Security Operations Units; specifically, Air Force OSI, Army CID, Marine Corps CID, or Navy NCIS.


• Assigned to State or Federal Law Enforcement Protection Units; specifically the close protection of Mayors, Governors, and High-ranking Federal Government Officials  


• Has demonstrated exceptional results in a Close Protection role, including managing logistics, advancing locations, and providing secure transportation.

Mission:

• Provide executive protection and logistics support as needed, including when the clients travel both domestically and abroad.


• Advance locations prior to a protectee’s arrival.


• Center point for disseminating information regarding security-related incidents to the protectee and leadership. 


• Coordinate contingency plans and medical response to emergencies.  


• Ability to work independently and to adapt to various work-paces while always maintaining a high-level of attentiveness and energy.


• Exercises sound operational judgment and flexibility to shifting priorities and challenges.
