Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation, repair, and maintenance for both commercial and residential projects. As a Glazier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of glass installations, adhering to safety protocols and project specifications.

1.1 Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions for installation or repair.

1.2 Install glass in windows, skylights, storefronts, and curtain walls.

1.3 Fabricate metal frameworks for installation purposes.

1.4 Remove old or broken glass prior to installation.

1.5 Apply weather sealants around installed glass.

1.6 Repair or replace damaged glass and glazing materials.

1.7 Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

1.8 Collaborate with contractors, architects, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.

Requirements

2.1 Proven experience as a Glazier or similar role.

2.2 Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing glass.

2.3 Knowledge of different types of glass and their uses.

2.4 Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

2.5 Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.

2.6 Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy glass panels and equipment.

2.7 Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

2.8 Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

2.9 Certification in glazing or a related field.

2.10 Experience with glass cutting tools and equipment.

2.11 Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the glass industry.
