What you will do

• Support technology buildouts, office and manufacturing-site readiness, relocations, expansions, and retrofit projects.


• Pull, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling; assist with network closets, switches, wireless access points, and related connectivity.


• Install and support IP camera systems and electronic door access-control components. This role does not perform fire-alarm or life-safety alarm work.


• Stage, configure, deploy, connect, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, scanners, printers, conference-room equipment, and other endpoint devices.


• Diagnose field issues involving power, cabling, connectivity, device configuration, and site readiness; work from project plans while adapting responsibly when specifications or priorities change.


• Coordinate with team members, customers, vendors, and construction trades; communicate progress, blockers, and changes promptly.


• Maintain labels, test results, equipment records, photographs, and closeout documentation; resolve follow-up service tickets after installation.


• Use tools, equipment, and required personal protective equipment safely in active commercial and industrial environments.

Required foundation

• Broad, basic hands-on experience with PCs and peripherals, network connectivity, and low-voltage or structured-cabling work. Relevant internships, co-ops, lab work, vocational training, military experience, or project work may count.


• Ability to use common hand tools and test equipment, follow installation standards, and learn unfamiliar devices and systems quickly.


• Ability to explain issues clearly, document work accurately, and work professionally at customer sites where priorities may change with little notice.


• Ability to travel to customer sites and transport tools or equipment as required.


• High school diploma or equivalent. A four-year degree is not required.

Helpful, but not required

• Experience on construction, renovation, or commercial retrofit projects, including coordination with electricians, general contractors, or other trades.


• Exposure to IP cameras, access control, fiber or basic optics, conference-room systems, network racks, patch panels, or wireless deployments.


• Experience supporting manufacturing facilities, medium-sized offices, multi-site rollouts, or short-duration buildouts.


• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar practical credentials; a CTC, vocational, associate-degree, or other hands-on technical background.
