Could you be the full-time Field Installation Engineer in Tampa, FL we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and project coordination expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and innovative team of professionals.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the successful installation of our signalling systems, contributing to the delivery of safe and reliable railway solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Installation Engineering, Sub-contractors, and Third-Party stakeholders), prepare and execute installation work packages, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of site installation activities, including resource planning inputs and technical documentation, but also provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Supporting and executing site installation activities, including site facilities usage, resource planning inputs, and site access preparation

  • Preparing, implementing, and updating installation technical documentation, such as Installation Plans, procedures, and Work Method Statements (WMS)

  • Executing assigned installation work packages in line with planning, quality, safety, and technical requirements

  • Carrying out installation works for M&U signalling equipment, ensuring technical compliance and performance

  • Providing technical support to sub-contractors and participating in site visits, inspections, and assessments

  • Ensuring proper coordination and information flow with third-party stakeholders, including facilities providers and Civil Works partners

  • Supporting the Installation Engineering team with problem-solving and on-site assistance

  • Ensuring compliance with EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards through site inspections and assessments

  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of installation processes, tools, and methodologies

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent education/experience)

  • Experience in railway or APM (Automated People Mover) installation – minimum 4 years

  • Understanding of EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) practices and standards

  • Knowledge of KPI and installation metrics

  • Familiarity with railway products and services across different market segments (e.g., Urban, Mainline, F&M, APM)

  • Certification in Railway Safety (desirable)

  • Certification in Site EHS management (desirable)

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to effectively manage interfaces with customers and partners

  • Problem-solving mindset and resilience to address field challenges

  • Willingness to work night shifts or weekends if required

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from monotonous routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and supportive colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative and impactful projects

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning programs

  • Progress towards roles such as Project Installation Manager or other leadership opportunities

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
