Canton, OH (Office Location) | Full Time | Salary $65,000+/year | Frequent Travel Required
Overview We're looking for a technically skilled, people-friendly Field Support Technician who thrives in dynamic environments and isn’t afraid to hit the road — or the skies. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with hardware, and representing a company with pride and professionalism.
Travel is a major component of this job. If you're not comfortable flying regularly, navigating airports, or working out of state for days at a time — this may not be the right fit. When you're not traveling, you’ll be based at our Canton, OH office providing remote support and assisting with staging and prep work.
Requirements
What You’ll Do:
Install and configure networking equipment, IP cameras, and computer hardware
Run low-voltage cabling and provide power setup for system installations
Provide technical support via phone, email, and remote tools
Represent our company professionally during onsite visits and work directly with customers
Troubleshoot hardware/software issues across a variety of platforms
Guide non-technical users through setup, training, and support
Document site visits, resolutions, and recurring issues
Travel frequently, sometimes with short notice – including commercial air travel
Work outdoors and in active industrial environments in all types of weather
What You Bring:
Working knowledge of computer hardware, networking (switches, IP addressing, routers), and IP-based systems
Hands-on experience or willingness to learn cabling, mounting hardware, and low-voltage power
Strong interpersonal skills – able to speak clearly with customers of all technical levels
A professional presence and the ability to handle onsite situations independently
Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
No hesitation flying frequently – you must be comfortable with regular commercial air travel
A valid passport or willingness to obtain one (occasional international travel may be required)
Based locally and able to work in-office when not on the road
Bonus Points For:
CompTIAA+, Network+, or similar certifications
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Familiarity with access control, security, or scale systems
