Construction Laborer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties:

• Installation of silt fence, hydro-seeding and other erosion control measures.
• Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and familiar with OSHA guidelines.
• Work as a team to safely achieve profitable job completion
• Work in all types of adverse weather
• Work as a team to safely achieve profitable job completion
• Work in all types of adverse weather
• Operate various hand tools and power tools
• Perform a variety of physical labor activities
• Maintain a safe and clean job site
• Interacts with the customer onsite as needed
• Promotes a safe and positive work environment
• Occasional overnight travel

Additional Information:

Work Environment/Conditions In the performance of the job duties, this position requires work in a variety of environments including construction sites and natural resource areas. This position will primarily work outside in all types of weather conditions and environments including but not limited to possible high, precarious places and is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the environment is quiet to loud.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Requirements

Skills & Experience:

• Strong work ethic
• Must have physical stamina sufficient to perform construction type work such as: lifting and carrying approximately 90 pounds, bending, stooping, climbing in and around construction equipment, and in and out of ditches for 8-12 hour shifts
• Valid Driver’s License
• Satisfactory criminal background check for job access
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong problem solving and comprehension skills
• Knowledge of the construction, landscaping or maintenance fields (A plus)
• Experience operating construction equipment i.e. skid steer or excavator (A plus)

Other Experience (A plus)

• Water sampling when needed for water quality analysis
• Maintains  ponds and lakes as required 
• Remove nuisance, invasive vegetation (occasionally)
