Description
The role of Field Maintenance Technician - Inspection Specialist is to provide overall equipment inspections and can also have a focus on certain major class components when specified, examples being; Undercarriage, GET, Hydraulics, etc. This position works closely with the Product Support Sales team to drive customer satisfaction by identifying needed repairs, offer recommendations on ways to receive maximum value & performance from their equipment investment, and to contribute to the companies forecasting and lead generation process to drive product support growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To promote and support a culture of safety as the first consideration in all aspects of our business.
Inspect, Measure and Document all pertinent information related to the machine health.
Document results in the designated process or application for future use and analysis.
Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information on new products.
Contribute to customer review meetings and lead customer training sessions as needed.
Respond to internal and external customer inquiry and questions in a timely fashion, including but not limited to inspection scheduling needs.
Elevate high priority issues and customers to the appropriate Product Support Sales Representatives and/or Manager.
Required Qualifications:
At least 2 years of machine technical experience.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
Listens and gets clarification.
Responds well to questions.
Participates in meetings.
Writes clearly, informatively & effectively. Edits work for spelling and grammar.
Able to read and interpret written information.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to understand the basic dynamics of equipment operation and design, and Parts Product applications.
Demonstrate proficiency in the software applications of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point; Dealer CRM; Dealer Business System; Dealer email system, Sales Link, PSQ, Service Link, and any other past or future software systems adopted by the company and deemed necessary to this job responsibility.
