🛠️ About the Role

RENT PROSPER is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Maintenance Technician to join our Single Family Rentals Division! This is an in-the-field driving role—you’ll start and end your day at our Winter Park office, then head out in a company-provided vehicle to perform maintenance at homes, condos, and duplexes throughout the area.

Each day brings a fresh set of service calls — usually 5 to 10 — scheduled in advance by your manager. If you're a self-starter with HVAC know-how, strong repair skills, and great customer service, we want to hear from you!

🧰 Key Responsibilities

• Travel between rental properties in the field using a company vehicle
• Complete scheduled work orders for residential repairs and maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC issues — from compressors and coils to full AC systems
• Repair or replace appliances, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, and electrical outlets
• Handle make readies (unit turnovers) — inspect, scope, repair, and prepare for move-ins
• Perform general handyman tasks: drywall patching, minor carpentry, touch-up painting
• Maintain detailed records: photos, parts used, receipts, and notes logged into PM system
• Communicate with tenants professionally and represent RENT PROSPER’s core values

Must Have

• 3+ years of general maintenance, handyman, or HVAC experience
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (company vehicle provided)
• Strong knowledge of older residential systems (10+ year-old AC and appliances)
• Ability to work independently and travel between properties throughout the day
• Comfortable using work order platforms or property management systems
• Excellent time management, communication, and organization skills
• Strong troubleshooting ability across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances

Nice to Have

• Background in servicing single family homes or scattered-site rentals
• Familiarity with platforms like Yardi, AppFolio, or other work order systems
