Fi is looking for a Field Operations Associate!
This is a hands-on, on-site role for someone local to Elgin, Texas who's comfortable working directly with dogs in a shelter environment. The Elgin facility is a high-volume transport hub processing multiple dog shipments a week, and Fi's collars need to go on every incoming dog and stay charged and cycling correctly.

What You'll Do:
- Visit the Elgin facility 2-3x/week (1-2 hours per visit) to manage operations
- Manually place collars on dogs as soon as they arrive from transport
- Maintain a consistent charging cycle for all collars week to week
- Track collar charge status, dog turnover, and any housekeeping issues that come up
- Send a consistent weekly update to Fi covering collar status, turnover rate, and any fires
- Keep a basic spreadsheet log up to date and organized
What You'll Bring:
- Must be local to Elgin, TX
- Comfortable working with dogs in a kennel or shelter environment, ready to get your hands dirty
- Flexible availability throughout the week so you can be there when shipments come in
- Strong, responsive email communication, you don't leave people hanging
- Basic organizational skills, comfortable reading and maintaining a simple spreadsheet
- Background in shelter or transport-hub environments, you know how chaotic intake days can get
- A knack for tracking equipment charging, inventory, or basic maintenance schedules
$18 - $20 an hour
The anticipated base rate for this position is $18-20 per hour. The actual base rate offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.
