Job Description - Field Safety Manager

We’re looking for a Field Safety Manager to help maintain a positive safety culture while ensuring company compliance with all company, federal, and state guidelines. This position is based out of our Bridgeton, MO, office. 


 


Role & Responsibilities:



  • Travel to job sites to perform inspections, compliance checks, and safety paperwork.

  • Review JSA’s and provide recommendations based on assessment results.

  • Participate in or facilitate safety meetings with office and field personnel.

  • Assist with continuous improvement projects.

  • Observe employees and contractors to assist in accident prevention and eliminating at-risk behaviors.

  • Coach/mentor employee(s) when they are observed in an unsafe act or situation.

  • Effectively present safety information and respond to questions from employees, managers, and customers.

  • Assist in new hire safety orientation, company safety training, and toolbox talks.

  • Update the Safety Director on essential issues in the field that must be addressed.


 


Qualifications:



  • 2-3 years’ experience within Construction industry Safety

  • Experience and/or education in risk management, safety and health, construction management, or comparable combination of experience and education

  • Experience ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and OSHA regulations.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret state or federal regulations.

  • Capable of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive situations.

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk (flat ground, uneven ground, upstairs, or ramps)

  • Stand for long periods.

  • Must have a current driver's license.
