Job Overview
Bee Sweet Citrus is seeking an optimistic, committed, and motivated candidate who has at least 1 years of experience scouting. This job will require traveling from one ranch to another which will require a valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
Duties / Responsibilities
Job duties include but are not limited to, the following:

Prepare traps for placement in the fields.
Inspect and monitor traps weekly.
Collect soil, fruit, tissue, and other samples.
Assist PCA’s with field checking, pest and weed identification, writing recommendations and fertilization plans.
Place traps in fields, conducting field evaluations, and pulling soils and leaf samples.
Learn and apply IPM practices, calibrations, safety and mixing.

Required Skills / Abilities

Knowledge of basic computer skills
Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations
Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently and in a team setting
The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand
The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong

Physical Requirements

Must be able to think rationally and apply logic during high-stress situations
Must be able to bend, and stoop, including the need to move and lift heavy objects
Must be able to work both inside and outside conditions, frequent exposure to heat, cold, adverse weather, greases, oils, noise, chemicals and work in and around moving vehicles
Must be able to climb, reach/stretch arms legs or other parts of the body to grasp objects

Pay Offered/Benefits

$20-$25 per hour
