Job Description - Field Service Engineer

Your mission

Role
Wattstor is looking for a skilled and reliable Field Service Engineer to support the delivery and long-term operation of energy storage and energy management systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for on-site service execution, including corrective interventions, preventive maintenance, and technical support during commissioning and aftersales activities.
You will act as the on-site representative of the Service Organisation, ensuring systems are serviced safely, efficiently, and in line with SLA commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Execution of on-site corrective interventions, repairs, and troubleshooting activities at customer installations
Execution of preventive maintenance activities according to defined maintenance plans and SLA requirements
On-site technical diagnostics of BESS, EMS, and related electrical systems, including identification of faults and validation of corrective actions
Collaboration with Technical Service Engineers during incident resolution, including following defined technical solutions and escalation procedures
Support of commissioning, testing, and system validation activities when required
Documentation of all service activities, findings, parts usage, and outcomes in service systems and work reports
Providing technical feedback, lessons learned, and field observations to support continuous service improvement and knowledge management

Your profile

Required Skills and Experience

Technical education or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, energy systems, automation, or related field
Hands-on experience in field service, maintenance, commissioning, or technical support, ideally within energy systems or BESS
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, Single Line Diagrams, layouts, and technical documentation
Practical troubleshooting skills across electrical, system, and component-level issues
Valid driving license (category B) and willingness to travel to customer sites and work independently in the field
Participation in an on-call duty rotation to support critical incidents outside standard working hours, in line with SLA requirements
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with remote support teams
English at a communicative level
Fluent in the Czech or Slovak language
This role will also require participation in an on-call rotation.
