Field Service Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team in Mundelein, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and services to our clients in the field. You will work closely with our customers to troubleshoot and resolve any issues with our automation systems, as well as provide training and support for new installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site visits to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with our automation systems
• Provide training and support to clients on the use and maintenance of our systems
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement solutions for customer-specific needs
• Conduct system installations and upgrades as needed
• Maintain accurate records of service activities and provide regular updates to management
• Proactively identify potential issues and recommend solutions to improve system performance
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in automation technology to continuously improve service offerings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field service or technical support role
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems and equipment
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed (approximately 70% of the time) - nationally and internationally
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
