About This Role:
The Field Service Manager II provides technical support to contractors, specifiers, consultants, municipalities, end-users, distributors, and Hunter regional staff. Serves as an essential link between Product Management and the field regarding product issues. Provides training to installers, end-users, distribution, and regional staff. Travels as needed to accomplish goals, which may include international travel.

*To best serve the assigned territory of Oregon, Washington, and Western Canada, the ideal candidate will reside in the Olympia, Washington area.
Essential Functions:
- Provides technical assistance to customers including contractors, specifiers, consultants, municipalities, distributors, endâusers, and Hunter Regional/Area managers how to troubleshoot residential, commercial, and outdoor lighting systems. Is highly proficient with all aspects of golf course irrigation systems. Provides support by phone, site visits, Zoom/Teams/Facetime video conferencing, and Team Viewer remote desktop application for all products.
- Provides experienced support and training on web-based Central Control, Wi-Fi/LAN/Ethernet/LTE networks and all Hunter/FX/Golf connected device products.
- Conducts training for customers on the functionality, features, benefits, and servicing of Hunter/FX/Golf products.
- Travels to remote job sites for preâconstruction meetings, system startâup, troubleshooting, testing, installation, and commissioning of systems. May attend regional trade shows, superintendent meetings, and key technical presentations for our customers.
- Reports all customer interaction daily in Customer Relations Management system which is currently, Salesforce/Service Cloud.
- Creates and maintains customer contact list in CRM with detailed information on customer site visits, emails, phone calls, training, and troubleshooting operations.
- Participates in or conducts educational workshops, trade shows, and other industry conferences to maintain professional/technical knowledge and to educate customers.
Education/Training Required and Preferred:
- 2 years of college or technical training in electrical troubleshooting, landscape architecture, irrigation design, or closely related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Irrigation Technology or Electrical Engineering preferred.
Experience Required and Preferred:
- Minimum 5 years of technical service experience required, with a minimum of 3 years within the irrigation industry.
What You Bring:
- In depth knowledge of irrigation and outdoor low-voltage lighting systems including electrical troubleshooting and design. Expert understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems common to the industry. Familiar with turfgrass management, pump systems, and winterization practices.
- Technical knowledge of Hunter Irrigation, Golf, and FX products. Ability to perform field service for those systems. Recommend solutions, provide timely service, and train customers. Experienced with installation practices and troubleshooting methodology.
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills: Problem analysis, strategic planning, organization, prioritization, decisiveness, and decision-making judgment required.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships and to provide a high level of customer service and support.
- Ability to provide service, training, and travel extensively while managing territory budget.
- Advanced computer skills with ability to use Windows programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. This includes advanced knowledge of Hunter/FX/Hydrawise applications and their connectivity to the Cloud. Skilled with Wi-Fi, LAN/Ethernet, UHF and LoRa radio, and LTE.
- Highly experienced with network-connected irrigation and lighting systems. Thorough understanding of Commercial and Golf Central Control systems.
- Willingness to travel extensively, live in a strategic location within the territory, and work flexible hours.
- Valid driver's license and driving record sufficient to meet requirements to be insured by company.
- Knowledge of Golf Course Etiquette.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport.
- Ability to work autonomously and maintain budget and reporting standards.

The salary for this opportunity ranges from $98,000 - $115,000
The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
