Position Overview

You will be responsible for providing preventative and corrective maintenance services on the Battery Energy Storage Systems according to the requirements of Service Agreements in the region of your responsibility. You will be responsible for personnel management, customer satisfaction, cost control and acceptable fleet availability performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the Field Service Engineer and Technicians to meet the obligations of each Service Agreement with respect to preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, warranty administration, performance assurances and other services.
  • Continuously improve profitability through efficiency gains.
  • Minimize Liquidated Damages risks.
  • Meet regularly with key customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Escalate customer issues through collaboration with other teams.
  • Engage with third party service providers as needed.
  • Collaborate with Service Engineering on training, procedures, and escalations.
  • Provide internal and external reporting on technical and financial reporting.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required:

  • Expert personnel management skills.
  • Good presentation creation and delivery skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical test and measurement equipment.
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings in relation to physical systems.
  • Ability to interface well with customers and team members in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge TCP/IP networking background, especially routing and communications protocols.
  • Experience with computer network operating systems.
  • Experience using Office tools Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams.

Desired (Not Required):


  • Working knowledge of communications protocols such as CAN, Modbus, TC/PIP, DNP3.
  • Familiarity with complex controls systems, Real-Time Operating Systems.
