• Associate's or technical degree preferred 
• 1+ years of experience performing installation/servicing on electro-mechanical equipment 
• Experience working with medical-grade equipment is preferred 
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time
• IT experience is a plus

FULL DESCRIPTION: The Field Installation and Service Technician will comprise of the pre-implementation and implementation activities necessary to place products into Healthcare and Life Sciences facilities. The technician is responsible for providing support to customers and employees. This position requires interaction with customers and/or Sales and Marketing personnel and providing answers for level one technical problems and working closely with the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Technical Support for more complex problems. The Technician must be a self-starter, quick learner with the ability to work independently and efficiently and have a professional customer service attitude.   

The selected candidate will be responsible for:    

• The Field Service Technician will be required to provide advanced technological, repair, and troubleshooting support with total customer satisfaction in mind.
• This individual must demonstrate strong electronic repair troubleshooting skills and knowledge. 
• Must be able to respond to emergency and non-scheduled calls for service daily within established response time goals. 
• Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction at assigned sites / locations. 
• Foster positive customer relations and a high degree of customer satisfaction by communicating effectively with customers. 
• Installs, repairs, and maintains equipment in the field; provides customer training as required. 
• Completes all scheduled maintenance within required deadlines. 
• Documents all inspections, maintenance, repair work and submits paperwork in a timely basis 
• When not supporting field activities, technician will be reporting to Operations in support of design, development, continuous improvement, and manufacturing activities. 
• Configuring hardware and software components after installation. 
• Manages the stock of replacement parts and service equipment. 
• Submit detailed written reports for all on-site services in accordance with established procedures. 
• Submit accurate and complete expense reports promptly after each service trip. 
• Understand and comply with the Quality Management System 
• Other service-related tasks as assigned.    

The selected candidate will also possess:  

• High School Diploma required. 
• Associate's or Technical Degree preferred, preferred with 1-3 years of prior related experience. 
• Strong electro/mechanical aptitude. 
• Self-driven to excel and fit into an intuitive, passionate, and highly collaborative small team-based culture, with willingness and efficiency to travel and work alone. 
• Demonstrated field troubleshooting and repair skills with the ability to exercise appropriate judgment on when consultation and support is required. 
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and analytical skills. 
• Proficient at interacting with a diverse customer base in a professional manner, in potentially demanding situations. 
• Previous experience in working within the medical or Life Sciences field. 
• Working proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  
• Must be at least 21 years of age. 
• Basic low voltage trouble shooting skills required. 
• Basic IT configuration skills preferred.
• Requires 50% travel out of state and occasionally international travel. 
• Must possess valid passport or can obtain one immediately after hire. 
• Monday through Friday travel, occasional weekend travel may be required. 
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
        

Salary Range: $75k-85k/yr
