Position Summary
EnerStar is hiring a Field Service Technician to join our results-driven team. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines supporting our clients with rig moves, new setups, rig releases, and infield repairs—making a direct impact every day. You’ll work closely with our Field Service Supervisor to deliver high-quality service and clear communication to clients. Core Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Prioritize safety in all tasks, following company and client safety protocols.

  • Champion EnerStar’s core values (integrity, collaboration, innovation) in everything you do.

  • Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks.

  • Install and repair flooring as needed to maintain facilities.

  • Handle basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting.

  • Complete painting projects to keep equipment and facilities in top shape.

  • Communicate regularly with the Lead Service Tech and Field Service Supervisor.

  • Interface with clients on-site to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues.

  • Obtain client sign-off on all service tickets before leaving each job site.

  • Maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality on every job.

  • Promote quality assurance and a positive company image to clients.

  • Assist with other relevant tasks as assigned.


Note: This role requires willingness to travel to job sites as needed.



Job Demands & Work Environment:



  • Physical Requirements: You must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and handle frequent bending, climbing, walking, and standing for extended periods, including working in confined spaces.

  • Medical Fitness: The work is physically demanding and often outdoors, so you need to be medically fit to handle various conditions. (Pre-employment and periodic medical evaluations may be required.)

  • Work Conditions: Expect outdoor work in extreme weather (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind) and exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental factors.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (What You Bring):



  • Willingness and ability to properly wear all required PPE (personal protective equipment).

  • Basic carpentry or general “handyman” skills (desired but not required).

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Active listening skills and a professional, courteous communication style.

  • Stamina to work in extreme weather conditions and challenging environments.

  • Availability for on-call duty; able to work nights and weekends when needed.

  • Willingness to travel out of town as required.

  • Comfortable using smartphones, computers, and electronic tools for work (e.g., digital work orders, metering devices).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Physical strength to lift 50–75 lbs on a regular basis.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others.

  • A clean driving record (valid license).

  • A strong commitment to safety at all times.

  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with industry software/tools like FieldCap, KPA, or Bamboo is a plus (not required).
