About this Opportunity:

The Field Service Technician I is responsible for executing the repair process for a variety of electronic and electrical product lines. 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform their primary duties.

· Evaluate electrical and electronic equipment

· Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customers

· Troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment and determine repair strategies

· Rebuild/rewire and repair electrical and electronic equipment per specifications

· Test repaired equipment to meet specifications

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills

· Effectively communicate with customers via phone and email

· Generate and transmit repair quotes to customers

· Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services that have been performed

· Participate in production activities according to the schedule to ensure that safety, quality, on-time delivery, and productivity goals are met

· Adheres to company guidelines and policies

· Other duties may be required

Location:

Evolution Motion Solutions is headquartered in Farmers Branch, TX with additional offices in TX, UT, AL, AZ, MT, OK, MA, MI IN, IL, OH and Canada. This position will be based out of our Weidman, MI facility.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: 

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection. 

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Associate degree, or two years training program or combined equivalent education in a technical field or electrical training program is desired, but not required

EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical or electronic repair or manufacturing environment. 

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time, work independently, and maintain customer relations
  • Working knowledge of electronics, low voltage DC electrical systems, and other applicable electrical hardware
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics and component drawings
  • Must be able to use a digital multimeter to measure current, voltage, and resistance
  • Must be able to operate a DC power supply
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, know how to use hand tools and be familiar with hardware
  • Work in a team environment
  • Effectively communicate, read, and write the English language
  • Demonstrated desire and ability to achieve high levels of Customer satisfaction

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

Typically work requires moving around an office work area. The work is physically demanding at times, requiring heavy lifting, and working in tight quarters. Physical tasks include grasping, carrying, lifting, assembling, hand-eye coordination, listening, writing, and speaking. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to a manufacturing or job shop environment. At times, there may be fluctuations in temperature or humidity. In some instances, dust or other particulate matter may be present. Noise levels may be loud during some work processes. Work outside normal business hours is required from time to time.
