Job Description - Field Service Technician II

ROLE OVERVIEW:

A leading technology services organization is seeking a Field Service Technician II to support commercial printing and imaging equipment in a customer-facing, field-based role.

This position is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining copiers, printers, and multi-function devices. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, responsiveness, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine maintenance and break/fix repairs on digital imaging equipment, including copiers, printers, and multi-function devices
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer service calls at client locations
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, including field service and expense reports
  • Identify and report product failure trends and serviceability issues to management
  • Ensure all assigned equipment meets operational performance standards
  • Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Follow all site-specific safety protocols and customer requirements
  • Support uptime and reliability in a 24/7 service environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required
  • 1 to 2 years of related technical or field service experience
  • Basic understanding of networked or internet-connected equipment
  • Ability to complete required technical training programs
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including shift work and on-call rotations
  • Ability to obtain required security clearances for customer sites
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as walking, standing, and kneeling for extended periods

  • This is a customer-facing role and may require compliance with client-specific policies, including health and safety protocols
