Role

As a Field Service Technician (also known as Field Operations Technician, Field Maintenance Technician), you'll be an integral part of our dynamic Field Operations team. You will be responsible for conducting customer service visits, documentation, day-to-day repair, and preventative maintenance for various transit agencies and clients. You will identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, work with manufacturers, or field personnel as necessary to procure replacement parts.

Qualifications
  • 2-4 years technical experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. AS degree; A+ certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in all products and services that the company offers. This includes staying current with installation standard methodologies, equipment protocol, and safety guidelines.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Technical and business knowledge including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; Prior experience with ERP environments and planning in database tools preferred.
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, complex technical issues in a clear, concise matter, to individuals with little or no technical background.
  • Ability to take initiative by identifying problems, conceptualizing resolutions, and implementing change along with having attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to maintain electronic equipment.
  • Ability to review technical documents to plan work.
  • Ability to confer with other personnel to resolve operational issues.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage projects to ensure all deadlines are met is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately with details and fluctuating work volumes.
