Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join the dynamic team. This role involves travel to customer sites for the installation, maintenance, repair, and support of the products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical, electrical, and controls/programming aspects, with a focus on Allen Bradley (AB) platforms. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance and reliability of the equipment, while providing superior service to our valued customers.
Major Responsibilities:- Demonstrate strong PLC knowledge, particularly with all AB platforms, for programming and troubleshooting purposes.
- Set up and troubleshoot AB servo systems, showcasing proficiency in advanced motion control technology.
- Interpret electrical schematics, troubleshoot electrical systems, and perform panel wiring with precision.
- Program, configure, and operate HMI interfaces for industrial automation systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Utilize safety light curtains and safety relays effectively to safeguard personnel and machinery.
- Conduct mechanical tasks and maintenance activities, demonstrating good mechanical knowledge and skills.
- Stay updated on administrative responsibilities, including accurate reporting and documentation of service activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service processes and optimize customer satisfaction.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:- Strong PLC knowledge, particularly with all AB (Allen Bradley) platforms.
- Skilled in setting up and troubleshooting AB servo systems.
- Solid foundation in electrical work, including reading schematics and performing panel wiring.
- Proficiency in HMI programming and operation.
- Familiarity with safety devices and circuits.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use wrenches effectively.
- Previous experience in the packaging industry is advantageous.
- Experience with line controls is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Physical stamina and strength for lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment.
- Mobility to navigate diverse work environments.
- Agility and balance for working in various locations and positions.
