Field Superintendent

Apple Roofing is currently looking for a Field Supervisor to join our team.

The Field Supervisor will be able to work independently, under the direction of their supervisor. The candidate must be able to multi-task as he/she may be overseeing multiple jobs per day. The candidate should have a working knowledge of general construction practices, more specifically residential and commercial roofing. Communication skills will be a key factor. The candidate should also have adequate computer skills. The candidate will be able to present him/herself in a respectful manner to customers, subcontracted crews, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Perform supervisory functions and also engage in the same roofing trade work as the workers supervised
• Provide timely and quality installation of all assigned roofing projects in the field
• Check in with homeowners/clients about work completion

• Take before and after photos of projects
• Check material and counts
• Oversee final quality of work
• Pick up and return leftover material after work is completed
• Final clean up of projects

• Oversee construction project and work sites
• Ensure all staff have basic understanding of safety procedures, safety rules, and safety requirements
• Conduct regular field visits to supervise workers
• Resolve customer complaints using effective communication skills

• Commercial/Residential roofing experience required (1 year)
• Experience in a similar position preferred
• Basic computer knowledge
• Basic knowledge of OSHA compliance
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs
• Must be able to climb ladder and access/work atop roofs
• Open to travel when needed

• Pay range dependent on experience starting at $21/hour
