Job Title: Field Superintendent/ Assistant Project Manager (West Coast, FL)
Overview: As a Field Superintendent, you will oversee and coordinate daily construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for managing a team of workers, subcontractors, and suppliers while maintaining a high standard of quality and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and other personnel on-site. Provide guidance, motivation, and support to ensure a cohesive and productive team environment.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all team members.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect work progress to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Resource Management: Coordinate and oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and tools necessary for construction activities. Manage inventory and optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies. Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively and professionally.
- Problem Solving: Identify potential issues or conflicts on-site and implement proactive solutions to minimize disruptions and delays. Resolve disputes or conflicts in a timely and diplomatic manner.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, change orders, and as-built drawings.
- Budget Management: Monitor project expenditures and costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. Review and approve project expenses, invoices, and subcontractor payments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Field Superintendent or similar role in construction management.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures in construction.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR) are advantageous.
