Field Technician

Position: Field Technician / Installer

Contract Details: Part time, +/- 40 hours per week

NARIK CONSULTING, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. As a leading consulting firm in the technology industry, our client provides a range of services to our clients including IT solutions, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity. Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site visits to client locations to perform cable assembly, installation, and test per provided site documentation 
• Perform equipment installation per provided site documentation.
• Perform hardware installations verifications.
• Conduct Receipt of material at customer location.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on client systems to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with the team to identify and implement solutions for complex technical problems
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of client systems and configurations
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide timely and efficient solutions
• Participate in any required meetings.
• Must have FAA Suitability granted prior to working at any FAA location.

 Requirements:

• A minimum of one year of experience of installing premises cabling systems, specifically CAT5 and
  CAT6 installation utilizing RJ45 connections.
• Installation of electronic equipment at customers facility.
• High School diploma or equivalent experience/combined education with additional technical training
  equivalent to a technical associates degree.
• Works well under moderate supervision for routine tasks.
• Ability to resolve Routine problems and issues, without clearly prescribed solutions.
• Checks and make minor adjustments to work methods to solve problems.
• Communicate with colleagues and customers within own project/work area to obtain or provide
  information requiring some explanation or interpretation.
• Has substantial understanding of job requirements and overall function.
• Must be able to continuously travel to perform installations throughout CONUS.
• Must have the ability to lift and carry forty pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Ability to work in dim lighting.
• Ability to follow installation instructions to the finest detail.
• Must be able to obtain suitability and maintain a Public Trust background check.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a field technician or similar position
• Strong knowledge of hardware and software systems, including Microsoft Windows and Office, and networking concepts
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site visits
• Additionally, the following skills(s) experiences are preferred:
  o FAA Air Traffic Facility Knowledge
  o Prior installation experience at FAA facilities High school diploma or equivalent, with a degree or certification in a related field preferred

Working Hours:

This is a part-time position, where there may be some weeks during the course of this project, that no work is available.

Typical working hours are Monday Friday 9 PM 5 AM shift but may vary from site to site. The working hours may vary and may include some evenings and weekends, depending on client needs.
