Job Description - Field Technician

New Visions Communications is a high-energy fast-growing technology company that installs and provides broadband services, including High-Speed Internet, Television (IPTV), and Telephone Service to consumers and businesses. Our Field Technicians are the face of our company for our customers to interact with. They provide the crucial boots on the ground support necessary to provide and maintain these cutting edge services, and they are the foundation for what makes our network and services best in class.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Efficiently install Fiber optic cable and associated network devices necessary to provide IP Television, Broadband, and Telephone service in customer homes, small business, and commercial sites.

· Support network infrastructure and customer services by troubleshooting and taking corrective actions in the field.

· Learn and become proficient in installing and maintaining fiber optic systems.

· Must convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company's products and services to our customers.

· Actively support sales and marketing related activities.

· Maintain a clean and organized working environment on a customer’s premise and around company facilities.

· Must have the ability to climb and maneuver a ladder, lifts, or aerial buckets, working knowledge of hand tools, and the ability to lift 75 lbs.

· Work will involve on-call hours, overtime, evenings and/or weekends.

Job Requirements

· Must have 3-5 Years of experience installing home broadband, Television, and telephone services.

· Must have computer skills and be knowledgeable in supporting a wide range of computing applications, including device configurations and working knowledge of using a computer, laptop & smartphone

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Valid Drivers license with good driving record.

· Technicians must provide their own hand tools and weather protective gear to perform job duties to the fullest extent and in any weather conditions, as well as a smart phone without restrictions on communications.

Compensation: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
