Job Description - Field Technician

We are currently seeking a Field Technician for our Bensalem, PA location. This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to high-quality architectural sheet metal production in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Experience is a plus, but we are willing to train someone who is motivated and ready to learn!
Key Responsibilities:

Visit residential and commercial job sites to perform accurate roof measurements and evaluations.
Use industry tools such as ladders, measuring tapes, and digital/laser measuring devices to gather roof dimensions, slopes, pitches, and material requirements.
Inspect roof decks, flashing, ventilation, drainage, and structural elements as needed for quoting or planning.
Document all site findings clearly with photos, sketches, and measurement notes using mobile apps or company software.
Collaborate with sales representatives, estimators, and contractors to clarify scope and job requirements.
Identify any potential challenges related to installation access, safety, or structural concerns and report findings.
Assist in generating takeoffs and materials lists based on field measurements and job requirements.
Ensure all fieldwork is conducted with strict adherence to safety standards and OSHA regulations.
Represent the company professionally while interacting with clients, homeowners, and contractors on-site.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Competent in reading blueprints, roof plans, or aerial imagery (e.g., EagleView, Hover, RoofSnap).
Strong attention to detail with accurate measurement and note-taking skills.
Basic proficiency with mobile devices, measurement apps, and email.
1+ year of experience in roofing, construction, or a field measurement role a plus.
Understanding of roofing systems (asphalt shingles, metal, TPO, EPDM, etc.) and basic building practices.
Ability to safely use ladders and access rooftops.

Daily travel to job sites in a company vehicle or using mileage reimbursement.
Outdoor work environment with frequent rooftop access.
Able to climb ladders, walk rooftops, and lift up to 50 lbs.
