The Finance Analyst will play a crucial role in our project-based initiatives, working collaboratively with diverse teams to enhance our business and financial processes.
Responsibilities
Compile and analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
Work closely with various departments and business units to understand their unique financial needs and challenges.
Document new business processes and create clear, concise work instructions for efficient implementation.
Assist in developing and implementing robust metrics and reporting systems to track financial performance.
Present findings and progress updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices.
Collaborate with the IT team to enhance our information systems capabilities, especially in Finance.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for process automation.
Support the Finance team in their day-to-day operations and special projects as needed.
Comply with all NOV Company policies, including HSE guidelines, to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably with a focus on process improvement.
Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
Experience with database systems (SQL, Snowflake) and ERP systems (Oracle, JDE, SAP) is essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships and collaborate with diverse teams.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of identifying innovative solutions.
Comfortable presenting complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time for business needs.
