Finance & Accounting Controller

Edgeless Beauty Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes. You will also contribute to the management of the general ledger, review sales and use tax filings, oversee payroll and tax filings, and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable. Essential Job Functions:

• Assist in month-end closing activities, including the accurate preparation of profit and loss statements with narrative, balance sheets, inventory adjustments, tuition revenue recognition, cash flow analysis, and account and variance reconciliations.
  


• Assist with payroll processing, payroll tax payments, and payroll tax filings of a 3rd party payroll processor.
  


• Collaborate with senior managers to implement cost control strategies and monitor their progress.
  


• Take the lead in coordinating and participating in various audits, including financial, 401(k), and Worker's Compensation audits. 


• Create and monitor budgets and forecasts. 


• Stay current with accounting standards and ensure compliance with regulations. 


• Manage team members in the finance department 


• Develop and enforce strong accounting controls in accordance with GAAP 


• Plan and analyze annual compensation increases and changes to compensation plans. 


• Calculate COGS for various spa services 


• Formulate the company's benefits strategies and oversee the implementation of insurance benefits (health, dental, life, 401K, etc.). 


• Utilize Edgeless Beauty Group's core values to guide the accounting department in supporting team member development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA certification


• 10 years experience in a similar accounting position with management responsibilities 


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Demonstrated ability to perform financial planning and analysis


• Experience in data analysis to make strategic financial decisions


• Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork
