Position Overview
As our F&I Director, you’ll be a revenue-driving leader with full accountability for finance and insurance product performance. Leading our Finance and Insurance Operations working directly with our management team and our sales force delivering best in class performance, you’ll deliver tailored financing solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to finance expert for high-net-worth luxury vehicle clients, conducting detailed credit and payment-analysis conversations.
- Structure loans, leases, and insurance products, using advanced menu-selling strategies to drive penetration and maximize per-vehicle gross.
- Establish referral processes between sales and F&I to capture 100% of transactions.
- Cultivate relationships with top-tier lenders, leasing partners, and wholesale finance companies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing F&I teams (when applicable), embedding best practices and compliance standards.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and manufacturer regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
- Minimum 3–5 years as a high-volume, high-line F&I Manager or Director (luxury brand experience preferred). Land Rover brand experience preferred.
- Proven results with consistent top-producer performance and compelling metrics (e.g., average per-vehicle gross, penetration rates).
- Deep understanding of finance, leasing and insurance products, including menu-selling strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer-service skills matched with professional presentation.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., Regulation Z, TILA, FCRA), with high integrity.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or relevant field preferred.
- Active state F&I and Sales license (or ability to obtain prior to hire).
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting: The F&I Director will spend a significant portion of their workday sitting at a desk, using a computer, and interacting with customers.
- Manual dexterity: Frequent use of a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment is required.
- Speaking and hearing: Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, staff, and lenders in person and over the telephone.
- Visual acuity: Close vision is required for reading documents, computer screens, and preparing paperwork.
- Occasional standing and walking: May be required to stand or walk for short periods to greet customers, access files, or move around the dealership.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 15 pounds: Occasionally lift or move files, boxes of forms, or small office supplies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: Must be able to manage multiple tasks and maintain composure under pressure.
- May be exposed to moderate noise levels in a typical office and dealership environment.
