Finance Controller

Our client is a fast-growing international fintech company expanding its regulated operations in Europe. 

We are looking for a Finance Controller to establish and manage financial operations and control frameworks in Lithuania. This role will play a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance, safeguarding client funds, and supporting the setup and growth of a regulated fintech entity.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain financial controls to ensure compliance with capital and client funds safeguarding requirements
• Establish end-to-end accounting processes together with an external accounting firm (general ledger, chart of accounts, monthly and quarterly close)
• Oversee key accounting areas, including revenue recognition, accruals, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet controls
• Prepare and review financial reporting packages for group consolidation
• Contribute to the development of financial policies, procedures, and financial governance
• Act as the main point of contact for statutory audits, regulatory reviews, and financial inspections in Lithuania
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on finance-related regulatory matters
• Perform other finance-related tasks as required

• Proven experience in financial control, accounting, audit, or finance roles within fintech, payments, banking, or other regulated industries

• Knowledge of Lithuanian accounting standards and financial regulatory reporting
• Experience building financial processes and controls from scratch
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and structured communication
• High level of independence and integrity, with the ability to operate autonomously
• Residency in Lithuania
• Professional fluency in English and Lithuanian

  The offered salary range for this position is 4000-5800 EUR (gross) per month. Salary expectations will be discussed based on your competencies and experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
